Bay Laurel Tree

Laurus nobilis
The true bay leaf tree used extensively in Mediterranean cooking. Forms a small pyramid-shaped tree or shrub with aromatic, evergreen leaves. Much of the "bay leaf" available in the US comes from the California bay tree Umbellularia californica. There is considerable difference between the substitute and the genuine Laurus nobilis.

Zone: 8-11. Temps to 15F.
Responds well to shearing.
