This excellent red wine grape (fruit is very deep purple) is a new and distinct variety with beautiful, maple tree-shaped leaves.
Muscadine grapes are usually grown in the south because they are tougher plants resistant to Pierce's disease. A vigorous grower with superior disease resistance. The unique leaves differentiate it from muscadine grapes. This cultivar is adapted as an ornamental, dooryard grape.
Very sweet. 18% sugar. Ripens from August to November. Self-fertile. Zones 7-9.
