Somewhat rare. A very beautiful and unusual agave. The leaves are cylindrical (about like a pencil) ¼” wide and thick and up to 2 feet plus long and numerous (with time they will number several hundred.) If grown in the sun they will be stiff and straight.

In climates where temperatures reach 25F or lower they should be grown in pots so that they can be moved indoors during the winter. Can also be grown inside in shade or full sun. Prefers a well drained soil and is drought tolerant. Grows to 2'h x 2'w. Lifespan is about 10 years at which time it sends up a flower that can reach 18 feet tall. Zones 9-10. Native to western Mexico. These plants are small and just the right size for shipping. Around 4” across and about 15 leaves and 4 inches high.
