Sometimes referred to as a "Hedge Bamboo" it has a clumping habit. Has fern-like 1 1/2 inch leaves in neat ranks, delicate arching solid culms 1/4 to 1/2 inches wide and reaching a maximum of 12 feet in height but usually less, especially when grown in containers (6-8 feet in height.)
Best in full sun to light shade. A great container plant. Thought to be among the hardiest (to 12° F ) of the Bambusa multiplex group.
Starter plants are shipped in 3" deep pots.
We try to keep all of our plants between 3-8" in height with excellent root systems.
