Simply remove one of the lower leaves (which will be quite thick) and squeeze the gel out of the leaf somewhat like squeezing a tube of toothpaste. You can also cut the outer surface from the leaf and rub the remainder on the irritated area.
The thick fleshy leaves are lanceolate with a serrated margin. Plant needs minimal care. Do not allow to freeze. Moderate light and well draining soil. Allow to dry out between waterings. Grows great on your windowsill.
Keep from freezing for best results.
