Ficus carica. 'Brown Turkey' Medium fruit, bears from late August through late October. Small vigorous tree 10 - 15'. Also called: Everbearing, Harrison, Ramsey, Lee's Perpetual, Eastern Brown Turkey, and Brunswick. Produces sweet, high quality edible figs. Most widely grown variety. Rivals 'Celeste' in popularity. Moderate size fruit of bronze color with medium eye opening. Suited to the Southeastern US. It is of the common variety of fig meaning it does not require pollination or another plant to develop and mature fruit.
